Eel Point and Dionis comprise the western
section of the north shore. Following the beach from Capaum Pond to the Madaket harbor, flat grasslands, wild roses and winding dirt paths lead to the sand dunes and calm waters of Nantucket Sound.

This is an exceptionally beautiful, pristine and peaceful part of the island. Because the north shore is the protected side of the island, there are no big waves making the beaches suitable for young children.
