Polpis, Quaise and Pocomo dot the northern side of the island between town and the head of the harbor. Out the winding Polpis Road (and its accompanying bike path), the landscape here is one of lush, low moors leading to the harbor beach where there are often low cliffs overlooking the protected waters.

With stunning views across the water of the pristine dunes of the conservation land at Coatue, this part of the island is perfect for boating, sailing, snorkeling, or windsurfing.
